Bluewater Health Foundation Announces Block Party 2024 Line-Up

SARNIA & PETROLIA – June 13, 2024 – Bluewater Health Foundation, alongside title sponsor Carpenter’s Local 1256, are thrilled to announce the line-up for this year’s Block Party concert series. Headlining on Saturday, September 7 are Niagara-based, 14-member funk band My Son the Hurricane and Mississauga rock and reggae band Ill Scarlett.

Friday, September 6 will feature Windsor All-Star band S’Aints with local opening acts A Million Ghosts and Down River Band. Saturday’s local opener is celebrity comic-con band Action Figures.

“We are overjoyed to once again be hosting the Block Party concert series featuring so many incredible Canadian bands and local acts,” says Kathy Alexander, Executive Director, Bluewater Health Foundation. “Not only is it a super fun weekend of great music, it’s also supporting an important community cause. We are so grateful to the people of Sarnia- Lambton for their continuous support and helping to make the Block Party possible year after year.”

The 2024 Block Party once again supports Mental Health and Addictions at Bluewater Health. Locally, these services are much needed by both adult and child/adolescent populations, as we continue to see an increase in mental health and addictions related issues and diagnoses in our community. Over the last eight years, the Block Party has successfully raised over $160,000 in support of these services at Bluewater Health.

The Block Party is an all-ages annual concert series hosted by Bluewater Health Foundation. Since its inception in 2016, the event has grown from a small, one-night event to a two-day festival with a capacity of 2,500 guests per night. Held at Suncor Agora in Sarnia’s Centennial Park, the event will feature local craft beer and other refreshments, food and artisans from across Lambton County.

This year’s event is proudly supported by Carpenter’s Local 1256, Pembina, Blackburn Radio and Refined Fool. Tickets are on sale now at Revelree.ca/event/blockparty2024. Tickets start at $25 per night or $45 for a weekend pass. Purchase your weekend pass by July 26 for the early bird rate of just $40!
