Today, Bluewater Health hosted their monthly Farmers' Market, inviting businesses from around Sarnia-Lambton to sell their products in the atrium. There was a huge variety of local produce being sold, from fruits and vegetables to goat cheese and desserts.
Vrolyk Farms
Vrolyk Farms is a third generation, family-run farm that sells fresh produce. They have their shop set up every Wednesday and Saturday in the Sarnia Farmers Market.
Great Lakes Goat Dairy
Great Lakes Goat Dairy sells a variety of goat cheese, ranging from your basic marble and cheddar to hot chili havarti. Their cheeses can be found in grocery stores all across Ontario. The Great Lakes Goat Dairy farm is located in Wyoming.
Sweet Sombra Honey
Sweet Sombra Honey an (obviously) Sombra-based honey farm, and is owned and operated by Barry and Debbie Smith. They sell golden liquid and creamed honey.
Maya's Village Bakery
Located in the heart of Sarnia, Maya’s Village Bakery sells bread, buns, deli sandwiches, and desserts. They offer wholesale and catering, but you can also stop in and grab breakfast, lunch, or a snack.
Armitage Orchards
Armitage Orchards is a family owned and operated orchard. They sell fresh and delicious apples at their shop every Wednesday and Saturday in the Sarnia Farmers Market. Their orchard is located in Lambton Shores,
It’s a win-win-win scenario. You get fresh, delicious produce, support local small businesses, and support the diabetes and clinical nutrition department at Bluewater Health. How can you say no?!
Okay, maybe you missed today’s market, but don’t worry! Bluewater Health holds a Farmers' Market at the end of every month, from 7:00am to 1:00pm. The next two dates are July 26th and August 30th.
