Tickets for the 26th Dream Home Lottery officially go on sale on December 1. This year’s home, located at 4096 Ernest St. in Petrolia, is valued at $536,190.30, and includes furniture, electronics and appliances. The lottery is once again a partnership between Bluewater Health Foundation and Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital Foundation.

“While COVID-19 may have delayed aspects of the lottery, specifically the building and furnishing of the home, we’re excited to finally be up and running,” says Kathy Alexander, Executive Director, Bluewater Health Foundation. “The pandemic has impacted the fundraising efforts of our foundations and this year’s lottery is more important than ever before. One way to support our community hospital this year is to get your tickets for the Dream Home Lottery. Funds raised through the lottery go directly to the most urgent hospital needs.”

“Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital Foundation is pleased to once again partner with Bluewater Health Foundation for the 26th annual Dream Home Lottery,” says Owen Byers, Chair, CEEH Foundation. “We’re thankful for the support of the Sarnia-Lambton community as we work together to raise funds for local healthcare.”

This year’s home is built by Sepe Construction and designed by D. Janzen Interiors. The home is once again fully VisitAble. The alternate cash prize of $500,000 is the largest in the lottery’s history. The prize board also includes a brand new BMW, donated in part by BMW Sarnia, larger cash prizes, the chance to win one of 1,000 Dream Home Lottery tickets, and new cash early bird prizes. Full prize details can be found at bwhfdreamhome.com.

Tickets will only be available for purchase online at bwhfdreamhome.com or by phone at 1-844-667-3251 this year. Tickets for a 50/50 add on are also available with purchase of a Dream Home Lottery ticket.

As it stands, the home will not be open to the public based on advice from Canada’s health authorities, but virtual tours will be available on the website in the coming weeks.

“Despite some of the changes we’ve had to make this year we are still confident that this year’s lottery will still make an impact on both Sarnia-Lambton and its local hospital,” says Alexander.

Over the last 25 years, the Dream Home Lottery has successfully raised over $7.4 million for Sarnia-Lambton’s community hospital.
