Children's Auxiliary

The Children’s Auxiliary are a dedicated group of volunteers, dedicated men and woman of all ages, focused on fundraising to provide supplies and equipment primarily to Bluewater Health’s Maternal Infant Child unit.

Since it’s inception 60 years ago, the group has successfully raised more than $660,000 through community-based events, such as their annual Christmas Cookie Walk, garage sales, bingos, selling of gift cards, and more.

In addition to capital equipment purchases, the group’s fundraising efforts also allow them to provide other services and purchase for other areas of the hospital that assist children and infants, including:

  • Activity packages (including stickers, crayons, colouring books and more)
  • Seasonal tray favours and gifts
  • Child-sized slings
  • Receiving blankets and bibs
