Our volunteers are the heart of our Foundation family.

Volunteers are found in every corner of the Foundation operations. You'll find them sitting on our Board of Directors and special events committees, helping out at Foundation events, selling Dream Home Lottery tickets, and even greeting you when you enter the doors of our office. Regardless of your age, skillset or reason for wanting to volunteer, we've got the perfect opportunity waiting for you.

I joined the Board of Directors at Bluewater Health Foundation because it affords me the opportunity to meaningfully impact the lives of every member of our community. We will all require the services provided by Bluewater Health at the most vulnerable points in our lives, so I want to make sure that I have done everything I can to ensure that service is obtainable, accessible, and unsurpassed for everyone.

We are both so pleased to contribute to Bluewater Health Foundation through our sponsorship of Race for Health. As a cancer survivor, my physicians were at Bluewater Health. It was where I was diagnosed and where my primary care took place. Why do I volunteer? For payback. The Foundation raises funds for such an important cause. I feel challenged, motivated, welcomed, and above all, like I really fit in here.

In the last few years, myself and several members of my immediate family have had to utilize services at Bluewater Health unexpectedly. It’s not possible to personally thank everyone that made a difference in our experience at the hospital, but giving back through volunteering is a good way to show my appreciation. Also being an employee at Bluewater Health, it’s great to see first hand how the money that the Foundation raises is used to purchase necessary equipment and thus enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
